WHO WE ARE:
Activist Mark Clark (AMC) was created in 2017 by his sister Gloria Clark Jackson. Our vision then was simply to honor Defense Captain Mark Clark, and Chairman Fred Hampton as Civil Rights Activists who stood up against Racism. We will always be about fighting racism, but AMC is so much more than that: In honor of Defense Captain Mark Clark, we are giving back to the community by establishing the Seize The Time Scholarship in honor of Mark Clark in Peoria, Illinois.

SEIZE THE TIME SCHOLARSHIP: IN HONOR OF MARK CLARK
In honor of Defense Captain Mark Clark, Associate Professor Joshua Finnell at Colgate University and many other contributors have kindly donated funds to initiate a scholarship at Illinois Central College (ICC) located in East Peoria.
As one of the sponsors, I am so excited to be a part of this great opportunity to honor my brother Mark Clark by giving back to the community. This scholarship is available NOW for the fall semester beginning 2021.
To apply for this scholarship, please review the qualifications below:
Here are the details of the scholarship:

$1,000 awarded annually to 1 individual

must identify as Black/African American
-
First-generation college students will be given preference

Any major
-
GPA of at least 2.0

Enrollment status full or part-time

Financial constraints: preference for low income

Scholarship funds can be used for: tuition and fees, books and supplies, academic related expenses (transportation, babysitting, etc.)

Initiate for fall semester 2021
